Tom Joyce has been a resident of the northern slopes of the Slieve Bloom mountains in the centre of Ireland since 1981. Living in this mountain environment has had a significant influence on his life and inspired much of his classical-style artwork, which explores the moorlands, forests, and river valleys of the area.
While Tom has gained recognition for his landscape paintings of Slieve Bloom, he has also been actively developing figurative and still-life pieces in recent years. Regardless of the category, his artwork is characterised by careful composition, thoughtful colour selection, and the subtle use of light, resulting in a serene and harmonious atmosphere that captivates viewers' attention and imagination.
Tom's work as a sculptor has gained increasing public recognition, particularly his sculptures at Clonaslee National School, which have received critical acclaim. His paintings are present in private collections around the world including Ireland, England, Italy, France Greece, Australia, and the United States.
